Alert Details:
* WHAT...Hot daytime conditions with high temperatures from 85 to 95
coastal plains to 95 to 105 degrees valleys and hills.

* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Inland Central Coast, Santa Barbara
County Inland Central Coast, Santa Barbara County Southwestern
Coast, Santa Lucia Mountains, Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range,
Santa Ynez Valley, and Southern Salinas Valley.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...There is a high risk for heat illness for sensitive
populations including the very young, the very old, those without
air conditioning, and those active outdoors.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This advisory may need to be extended through
Wednesday.

Information:
Limit strenuous outdoor activities (like hiking) to the early
morning hours. Stay in air conditioned spaces during the heat of the
day. Check up on relatives and neighbors.

* WHAT...Hot daytime conditions with high temperatures of 95 to 105
degrees common, and warm overnight conditions.

* WHERE...Cuyama Valley, San Luis Obispo County Interior Valleys,
San Luis Obispo County Mountains, and Santa Barbara County
Interior Mountains.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM PDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...There is a high risk for heat illness for sensitive
populations including the very young, the very old, those without
air conditioning, and those active outdoors.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This advisory may need to be extended through
Wednesday.

Areas Affected: San Luis Obispo County Beaches - Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches
 
Alert Details:
* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents with a combination of a south
swell producing elevated surf up to 7 feet.

* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara
County Central Coast Beaches. Highest for south facing
beaches, especially for Port San Luis and Avila Beach.

* WHEN...Through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can
wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats
nearshore.

Information:
Remain out of the water due to hazardous swimming conditions, or
stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly
in such conditions, stay off the rocks.
