through the advisory area.Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Minor mud and
debris flow are possible near recent burn scars including
western portion of the Gifford and the Lake burn scars.

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 11 feet with local sets to
13 feet. Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara
County Central Coast Beaches.

* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay
near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in
such conditions, stay off the rocks.

* WHAT...Southwest winds 10 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* WHERE...Central Coast and Santa Ynez Valley.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

At 635 AM PST, Doppler radar was tracking of strong storms along a
line extending from 13 miles east of Atascadero to 12 miles west of
Point Conception. Movement was east-southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. Very weak tornado possible.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Moist soils may allow for trees to be
downed easier.
